Brief description of the implementation: During the implementation of the project, the drives of the forming fans were modernized. The existing ones were disassembled in order to install new ones.

Drive cabinets No. 110 and 120 after modernization

Four drive sets with Siemens G120X converters with a power of 500 kW and a supply voltage of 3×400 VAC were delivered. Each of the four sets consists of three cabinets: a power cabinet, a converter cabinet and a control cabinet. We delivered, installed, connected and started up twelve power and control cabinets. The parameterization of frequency converters was performed by the available manufacturer’s software via WIFI connection and a web browser.As part of the project, the drives were configured to work with a superior control system via the Profibus network (Siemens S7 PLC controller). During the configuration of the converters, the engine speed was checked, the engine adaptation procedure (AMA) was performed, and the flying start function was also used, which allows the converter to easily “catch” the engine after a momentary power outage. The converter also has a safety function with a safety relay, which allows the motor to be stopped quickly and easily in case of a failure.
