The assumption of the project was to make a soft-start system for 1.6 MW 6 kV pumps, which, before implementation, were powered directly by the network. In order to reduce the power consumption and the wear of mechanical parts, it was decided to use a 1.6 MW medium voltage soft starter. The soft starter starts 4 pumps (depending on pump availability and demand). Efficient start-up for this project was very important due to the fact that the pumping station has the status of a backup pumping station and must ensure 100% availability in the event of sudden failures.

Control-Service company prepared a control system based on Siemens S7-1500 controllers as well as a visualization system using the Wonderware System Platform software. Thanks to the modern visualization system, we have got the accurate representation of the entire facility, including pumps, fittings, power switchboards, etc. Commissioning took place from the local workstation.
